Are You Ready for AODA?AODA stands for Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and it relates to any business or organization, regardless of size, that either has employees and operations or customers in Ontario. The act is made up of 5 standards, and the deadline for compliance with the first standard – the Customer Service standard – is closer than you might think! On September 20, 2010, Global Learning will be continuing their exploration of topics relevant to the roles and responsibilities of senior Human Resources and Diversity leaders by focussing on your fast-approaching AODA responsibilities at a NO-COST, by-invitation-only breakfast event sponsored by KPMG and held in their offices downtown. Breakfast is at 7:30 a.m. The 15-minute key note presentation will begin promptly at 8:15 a.m. , followed by an interactive Q & A session, and the breakfast event will be over by 10:00 a.m. This will not only be a great educational HR event but will also provide you with lots of opportunity for networking with others in a similar role and at a similar level as you.
