As a diversity and inclusion strategic consulting and training organization for over 15 years, the AODA's core values - when it was introduced in 2005 - fell firmly under Global Learning's fundamental beliefs:
In our lives and work we must "use reasonable efforts to ensure that all people are consistently treated with the principles of independence, dignity, integration and equality of opportunity."
As a result, the AODA quickly became one of the many important areas of focus for Global Learning.
As a leader in the marketplace, our main priority is to demonstrate to any organization that Global Learning is a trailblazer when it comes to AODA compliance assistance.
Through facility audits, website audits, policy & procedure audits and creation, our powerful training tools, consulting services, our unique AODA Small Business - Solution In a Box™, and the AODA Expert Smartphone App, which we developed to fill the large void in the market around accurate AODA information (available on both iTunes and BlackBerry AppWorld), Global Learning has been at the forefront - aiding any company, large or small, as they navigate through the AODA process.
So, what does one do as a market leader to properly represent themselves when the solutions they offer have no means of being pre-appraised and are being offered by a wide variety of other companies?
It all boils down to one of the most important phrases: "Walk the Talk."
For instance, here on our company website you may have noticed that the "Accessibility" tab is the first on our menu. Understanding that Global Learning must lead by example, we added this tab to our website in April of 2010.
Many of our clients have already been introduced to our widely used Diversity Moments™, an innovative eLearning employee training program created and developed by Global Learning. As with our other eLearning training solutions, the needs of your employees with disabilities were firmly considered and cared for by the inclusion of such features as screen reader versions using HTML instead of Flash design (which is critical for people with visual impairments as well as other impairments affecting mobility and learning for instance), the ability to easily print audio scripts for those with auditory impairments (or simply without speakers), as well as "skip" links for screen reader users, to name just a few of the many important accessibility features integrated into our state-of-the-art products.
When our company is invited into your organization to speak about AODA, or any other topics that fall under our expertise, you can be certain that Global Learning has already introduced the practices we preach into our own business procedures. The practices and procedures that we have developed for ourselves, in turn, attract our clients.
Many other organizations you may contact offer informational workshops on AODA for a substantial fee. In keeping with our philosophy of providing information to our clients as part of our "walking the talk," we would be pleased to speak with you or conduct a presentation for your team at no charge. Feel free to Contact Us for a complimentary session.
