Topic Description: Cross-Cultural Coaching: Cultural Inclusion in the Workplace
Under this Option, we offer three different programs ranging in length, activities, and intensity. The program an individual participates in is based largely on the following factors:
Level of support required
Perceived (potential) value of the individual to the organization
In some cases, therefore, an employee may receive only two to four hours of cross-cultural coaching over a few months. Others, however, may be provided with significantly more support consisting of one or more of the following activities:
An initial needs assessment: – Completion of a cross-cultural assessment tool – Meetings with the employee, the employee’s manager and, if appropriate, the employee’s HR representative
Up to six months (or more) of weekly or bi-weekly coaching
Manager information sessions, update meetings, and/or coaching
Review of a comprehensive document containing culturally-related information designed to help ensure a smooth and quick transition to the new location. Participants are provided with this document and are encouraged to refer to it whenever and wherever necessary during their transition phase.
