Carl Moore, the founder and CEO of The Associates, LLC, has almost 40 years’ experience in the field of diversity and inclusion as an employment litigator, arbitrator, mediator, and trainer. He has served as Executive Director and General Counsel for a teacher’s union; as Chief Employment Counsel to one of the largest employers in the nation; as General Counsel for an employee appeals board in the federal government; and as lead trainer for more than 45,000 classroom participants, including more than 1,800 government attorneys, 60 federal district court judges, and more than 1,300 managers and employees in the United States Senate.
His client base is evenly divided between private sector and public sector organizations. The Associates have served private sector corporations; federal, state, and local agencies; non-profits; unions; and associations. The Governing Council accomplishes this by conceptualizing, planning, organizing, and facilitating both large- and small-scale programs which provide networking and educational opportunities on critical issues facing the LGBT workplace community.
Out & Equal™ Workplace Advocates (commonly known as “Out & Equal”) provides a variety of services to companies, human resource professionals, employee resource groups (ERGs), and individuals.
Out & Equal™ Workplace Advocates champions safe and equitable workplaces for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people. They advocate building and strengthening successful organizations that value all employees, customers, and communities.
In addition to their annual Workplace Summit, Out & Equal™ offers Building Bridges Diversity Training specific to LGBT workplace issues, a national network of 18 regional affiliates, support to LGBT employee resource groups, monthly e-Newsletters, and individual donor and corporate sponsorship programs.
