Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Surveys

Our surveys are also structured to collect employee feedback on organizational culture, inclusivity, and engagement. Surveys are provided online and are mobile-friendly, secure, confidential, and anonymous.

Our surveys include demographic identity questions as well as carefully tailored organizational culture open-text and scaling questions to understand the employee experiences of DEIB within your organization. 

Basic Survey Reports

Firm-wide and location-specific results that include the number of responses provided for each question choice, and the subsequent percentage of that rate is compared to the overall total of firm-wide and location responses. All open-text responses are by theme and location. 

Basic Survey Reports are included in your survey project order and are available for viewing within 2 weeks of the closing of your survey.

Executive Summary Reports

Clients need to take a deeper dive into their data beyond the basic survey report. We provide a detailed analysis of survey results and employee survey comments with Global Learning commentary and insights on trends, benchmarking on equity group representation by sector, and best practice next steps and short-term recommendations.

Executive Summary Reports are available to your organization as part of your project scope and are available within 4 weeks of the closing of your survey.

Comparative Survey Reports

Firm-wide and/or location-specific results that pertain to intersectionality and/or a select demographic of your people are used to compare data across the firm or with other equity groups. These reports can bring your organization's current equity state to light and identify areas of critical change.


Comparison Survey Reports are available to your organization for an additional fee and are generally available within 3 weeks of the closing of your survey.

Demographic In-take Surveys

One of our newest data collection services, Demographic In-Take Surveys are now being offered by Global Learning. Our in-take surveys are administered to all firm-wide employees and all new hires upon entry into your organization. These surveys provide real-time data of your firms demographic make-up, which can then be used to meet supplier diversity requirements and can also account for promotions and departures from your firm.

  • What data is captured in a DEIB Survey?

    DEIB surveys anonymously collect the following data from participating employees: 


    Workplace Data:  

    • Location 
    • Role
    • Length w/ organization

    Demography and Identity Data: 

    • Gender identity
    • Sexual orientation 
    • Indigenous identity
    • Generational identity 
    • Generational Identity 
    • Disability status

    Workplace Culture & Engagement Data: 

    • Employee experiences of DEIB, discrimination, and harassment within your organization
    • Open-text employee feedback regarding workplace culture and organizational experience of DEIB

  • How long will it take to complete the survey?

    Survey length may vary, but generally, our surveys will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. To maintain anonymity, the survey must be completed in one sitting and no personal identifying information is captured.

  • How do participants know responses to the survey will remain confidential?

    Our clients retain Global Learning as an independent third-party DEIB firm. 


    Survey results will be collected and reported by Global Learning in aggregate only. To maintain the anonymity of respondents, employers are not provided with any information that can identify respondents in any way, including names, email addresses, or employee numbers.  As a result, access to the survey is provided through a link only, ensuring anonymity for all firm members and all responses go directly to Global Learning with no access to any data by our clients. 


    Global Learning will not provide any specific information if fewer than 10 participants answer a particular question. Clients are unable to aggregate characteristics about participants, such as combining Department and Organizational Levels. Employers will only be able to see the make-up of groups of people over 10 such as the composition of a department in total, and it will not be able to combine the characteristics of any individual participant without the assistance of Global Learning. This ensures continued anonymity. 

  • Where is the data stored?

    Global Learning has passed stringent vetting processes related to data security and data privacy. Data gathered from diversity, equity, inclusion, and engagement surveys are stored on secure servers and are password protected at Global Learning.

  • What kind of questions are asked? 

    In developing the survey, Global Learning uses definitions from the Employment Equity Act and the corresponding requirements of the Federal Contractors Program as well as common practices within the diversity and inclusion field. The survey will ask, for example, what is your age, gender identity, sexual orientation, whether you have a disability, have indigenous ancestry, and are part of a racialized or ethnic group. Participants can decline to answer any question that they select to not disclose by choosing "Prefer not to answer."
